The Greater Cue Way

We Never Stop Learning

Education is so vital and we are always staying up on relevant and emerging technology. Our goal in continuous learning is to find the best solutions for our customers. We do the research and we find what does and does not work before we put it in your space. We like to get our hands on as much as we can and prove the technology before we implement it. It is important for us to stay up on what’s out there so we can curate a selection of systems and solutions that will be as future proof as possible. We are not afraid to admit that we are still in process as we feel that is the only way to stay teachable and open enough to be on the edge of all the exciting and new technologies. The great thing about the time we are living in is that technology is finally becoming human friendly. So much of the geeky stuff runs in the background while the user interfaces are becoming drastically more user intuitive.

Your Space. Your Rules.

We have a way that we conduct ourselves that is warm, respectful, and clean. We respect our customers and the spaces they allow us to be a part of. We are there because of you and so it is our job to adapt ourselves to your environment. We are there to offer our time to you, whether you want to be educated on a smart device, listen to your integration ideas or for us to stay out of the way and have as little impact on your life as possible.
We don’t leave messes. No piles of debri, dust, residue or smells left behind. We clean as we go and always leave ongoing projects in a tidy state anytime we have to step away. There is always a goal and milestone in mind for each stage of the project so when the day ends there will be something new to share with you.

The Human Element

People are the common denominator that matters. GCI endeavors to never lose track of that. So everything we do must be in that mindset. It’s helpful to remember how people experience things and what effects that has on their state of mind. We all have senses and we all interact with our environments through our unique human biology. This means everything must be designed to compliment the way we interact with the world around us. We are not there for the devices, the devices are there for us. So when we think about application and design, we think about the people first, then we think about the technology and how to best apply those elements to focus on human interaction and interfacing. When you think about people first then the results are always going to be exceptional.

The X factor

Alex Clark comes from the live event industry with a wide range of experience spanning over 2 decades. After seeing so many forms of entertainment, lighting, sound, and visuals he noticed that when everything began to work together just right that something magical took place. Every little thing either brings you closer or further away from what he calls the “X factor”. There are thousands of factors that lead to the “X-factor”. There are certain frequencies that if missing or exaggerated can leave the sound system lacking in the reproduction of your favorite live track or add a level of harshness that can distract. The same goes for visual elements as well. There is a magic that happens when all the elements are combined together and stimulate your senses, mind and spirit. An “X factor” that adds an electricity and vibe that just feels right.

Content is King

Content drives so much of what we do and what platforms and mediums we use to get that content to you in the best possible way.
As an example, lighting for an accent or effect is completely different then how you would light a painting. With accent lighting, color and dramatic shadowing adds contrast, dimension, and texture. It’s completely different when it comes to lighting a painting. With that kind of artwork the lighting has to be as pure as it can get while offering an extremely even field of coverage and the angle of the light source has to be just right to avoid any unpleasant glares. Similar aspects apply when thinking about different kinds of video content and audio content. Video Gaming needs to be treated differently than a movie and HiFi/reference audio content needs to be treated differently than streaming a Podcast. Whatever combinations you are into we think about all the varied uses and help you pick the right technology and application.

Function Dictates Form

When function is achieved at its highest form it also takes on a form that is pleasing to the eye.
Thinking about every detail from multiple viewpoints, up close and far away, is the only way to produce a meaningful impact that depicts the emotion and purpose you desire. So much of which is dependent on the right ratio and position of each element according to its highest and best purpose. There is something special about each element operating at its absolute best and functioning is a system that brings together a string of little events that makes your space express what you want in both function and form.

Tech for Techs Sake

Technology is not there to take over your space. It’s there to conceal the complexities that are running in the background and offer a simple and high quality solution. It’s there to make life easier and more enjoyable. We are not going to install a device that does not have a purpose to perform. As much as we love the newest and greatest technology, it must meet a need. Now that need can be anything and fun can be a great reason. The point is, we are a solutions and customer oriented company. The last thing we want to do is force something that has little use to you just because it was the newest hottest thing at CES this year.
